WHY VISIT

Genius Artist Lee Jung-seop, dedicated to painting, escaped the gunfires of war and settled in Busan. On the steep mountain village of Beomil-dong packed with shabby shacks, Lee continued to create passionate artwork. Looking down on the area packed with houses from the Leejungseop View Point, we can get a glimpse into the tumultuous life of painter Lee Jung-seop. The 100 Stairs of Hope next to the observatory is a stair gallery that exhibits the works of Lee Jung-seob along with his yearning for his separated wife. The outdoor gallery, which doubles as a resting area, is where you can see the dynamic sculpture version of Lee’s symbolic work “White Bull.” The works of Lee Jung-seop shine brightly across the Lee Jung Seop Street in every little corner.
