WHY VISIT
Pungpaejigwan (Jeonju Gaeksa) is believed to have been built during the early Joseon period alongside the construction of Jeonju Eupseong Fortress. Later, in the 3rd year of King Seongjong’s reign (1473), records indicate that Jo Geun, the governor of Jeonju, renovated the guesthouse using remaining funds after establishing the Jeonju Archives (Jeonju Sagoe).
