WHY VISIT
Founded in 1929 and currently in its third generation, Yeokjeon Hoegwan boasts 97 years of tradition as one of Mapo’s most renowned restaurants. Its signature “Crispy Bulgogi” is grilled over charcoal using fresh beef from Majang-dong, offering a taste loved by all generations. The restaurant’s house-made “Yeokjeonju,” brewed in its own distillery, won the Grand Prize in the Takju Raw Makgeolli General Category at the 2021 Korea Liquor Awards. Frequented by loyal patrons and celebrities alike, it is also famous as the restaurant visited by Hollywood actor Tom Cruise during his stay in Korea.
