WHY VISIT

Songane Dakhanmari is a restaurant specializing in dakhanmari(whole chicken soup), a traditional Seoul dish. Customers enjoy dipping chicken and vegetables cooked in a rich, garlic-infused broth with seasoning, and can choose to eat it either plain or spicy according to their preference. Additionally, the remaining broth can be enhanced by adding kalguksu (knife-cut noodles) or porridge for a more fulfilling meal. The restaurant is renowned for its hearty, garlic-laden broth. The founder previously operated a rice set meal restaurant near Cheonggyecheon and decided to add dakhanmari at the encouragement of regular patrons, eventually evolving into a single-menu establishment. The interior is cozy and welcoming, featuring multilingual menus and guides on how foreigners can enjoy their meals, making it an ideal spot for both locals and tourists.
