Opened in 1986, Wangjjanggu Restaurant is the fourth oldest eatery on Bukchon Gyedong‑gil, a historic street that has preserved its position over the years. Starting as a snack bar, Wangjjanggu Restaurant has traces of time scattered throughout the premises. There, you can enjoy not only hearty stew dishes but also taste Korean snacks such as sweet potato stew, fish cakes, and sikhye (Sweet Rice Punch). Wangjjanggu Restaurant's signature dish is Gogumamattang (Deep-fried and Sugar-Glazed Sweet Potatoes), which pairs excellently with freshly cooked ramen. It has been in business for 40 years and offers a taste of traditional Korean flavors.
