WHY VISIT

Doksuridabang was a dormitory for nearby university students in the 1970s and 80s, a meeting place and a place for public discussion. It originally started as a music room and was loved by literary figures such as novelist Seong Seokje and poet Ki Hyung-do. It was closed in 2005 due to the popularity of coffee shops, but reopened in 2013 by the owner, who is the grandson of the original founder, who promised to continue the history and identity of the place. There is a bulletin board where people used to exchange notes and share news, as well as old photos of the history of the cafe. • This place has been selected as a 'Seoul Future Heritage'.
