Ojang-dong Hamheung Naengmyeon is a naengmyeon restaurant started by President Han Hye-seon in Ojang-dong after the Korean War. It became the place that introduced Hamheung Naengmyeon—a dish enjoyed by people from Hamgyong Province—to the entire country. Since the 1970s, many Hamheung-style naengmyeon restaurants in Ojang-dong have disappeared due to redevelopment and changing times. However, Ojang-dong Hamheung Naengmyeon has maintained its presence to this day by creating an appealing naengmyeon that deepens the flavor of thin noodles with spicy sauce and fresh raw fish toppings, adding savoriness through the harmonious blend of sugar, sesame oil, and vinegar.
