Naegohyang Sikdang is one of the best galchi jorim (braised hairtail fish) restaurants in Namdaemun. Hairtail is garnished with several different kinds of seasoning and is boiled down in an earthenware pot over high heat, yielding a dish with a rich and rather spicy flavor. The complimentary deep-fried hairtail tails taste excellent. Although this little place is a bit shabby, it is popular enough that you have to wait in line to be seated.
