WHY VISIT

Nampo Myeonok, established in 1972, was founded by owner Kwak Bong-sun, a native of Jinampo in Pyeongan Province, who settled in Seoul after the Korean War and introduced North Korean-style cold noodles. Now operated by the third generation, the restaurant's Pyongyang cold noodles are characterized by using dongchimi fermented underground in the traditional Pyeongan Province method as the broth. It is said that past presidents have also frequented Nampo Myeonok to enjoy its cold noodles. Inside, there are traditional floor-seating tables where you sit cross-legged, allowing you to experience Korea's traditional seating culture while dining.
