For the artists, working evokes emotions similar to childbirth. The time of anguish and the energy condensed within that time culminate in a moment comparable to the birth of life. Choi Seung-yoon’s abstract works, which serve as the background of the exhibition, reveal the fundamental energy inherent in humanity without reservation. Behind this force lies the artist’s effort to capture on canvas countless emotions that cannot be explained one by one. The fine-brush paintings of artist Cho Jung-eun, who pays attention to vanishing things with affection, are added to the canvas, combining emotion with emotion. This exhibition thus contains narratives of anticipation and joy, as well as responsibility and fear.
