WHY VISIT
This exhibition presents a collection of works depicting Cheonggyecheon in the 1950s to 1970s by renowned cartoonist Kim Seong-hwan, best known for the satirical comic Mr. Gobau. Though it was an era of great scarcity, Kim once said, “Even under the moonlight, there was romance in the humble shacks.” Following his warm perspective, this exhibition shares the stories of Cheonggyecheon’s days and nights. Through these works, we hope visitors will encounter the radiant moments of those who lived difficult yet heartfelt lives.
