WHY VISIT
Boseongsori Jeokbyeokga is a precious form of traditional Korean music that retains the old-fashioned charm of Gojesori. It is characterized by its robust and dignified sound, primarily in the Ujo mode. This musical lineage, which began with Park Yu-jeon and continued through Jeong Jae-geun, Jeong Eung-min, and Jeong Gwon-jin, was on the brink of extinction until it was revived by Yoon Jin-cheol, who was recognized as a holder of the National Intangible Cultural Heritage. Recently, it has been actively performed again. This performance is particularly notable as it marks a female singer's first complete rendition of Boseongsori Jeokbyeokga. Audiences will experience Kim So-jin's unique interpretation and color.
