WHY VISIT

Opened in 2018, piknic is an urban cultural space. As architect Florian Beigel said, "Design is not about planning a picnic, but preparing a mat," piknic was planned as a single venue where various artistic activities such as exhibitions, performances, gardens, gastronomy, and reading are possible. The old building, which was used as a pharmaceutical company's headquarters in the 1970s, has been reborn as a cultural space where an exhibition hall, cafe, shop, restaurant, garden, and vegetable garden coexist while retaining the mood of the past. Currently, at piknic, various cultural programs are regularly held, including diverse special exhibitions, creative performances such as a play theater, a novel theater, and a silent film theater, as well as a garden school, music appreciation sessions, and piknic kids.
