WHY VISIT

The citizen docent program of the 2025 Cheonggyecheon Public Art Project Cheonggye Coexistence, celebrating the 20th anniversary of the Cheonggyecheon Restoration, offers an opportunity to revisit the history and spatial meaning of Cheonggyecheon and to deeply understand how various artworks connect the city, people, and nature. Stroll along the works as if taking a walk through the city center, and experience a time of sharing thoughts embedded in each piece beyond simple appreciation. [Schedule] English docent program for foreigners: November 20 (Thursday), 15:00–15:50 [How to Apply] Apply by email at [email protected] from October 27 (Monday) to November 7 (Friday). Please include your name and contact information. Participants will be contacted separately regarding selection results. [Capacity] 15 people Children may participate when accompanied by a guardian. [Program Structure] Orientation (5 minutes) – Introduction to the history and spatial significance of Cheonggyecheon, and explanation of the purpose and concept of the Cheonggye Coexistence project Artwork Tour (40 minutes) – A docent-led walking tour of six public art pieces, sharing insights on the planning, design, and production of each work, as well as the artists’ intentions, followed by a Q&A and discussion with participants Conclusion (5 minutes) – Sharing impressions of the artworks, guidance on satisfaction survey participation Walk along the flow of Cheonggyecheon and immerse yourself in the world of public art. A new artistic experience awaits, beginning with your own perspective.
