WHY VISIT
Located along the street of tradition itself, Insadong, KCDF Gallery is a space dedicated to the exhibition of crafts and was created to help promote the rise of the crafts industry, while contributing to a communicative platform for craftsmen and women, as well as the dissessimation of the consumer culture of crafts. The KCDF Library is also available, serving as a ground for research activity that offers literature and various data on a wide array of crafts designs along with exhibitions, training programs, and seminar spaces for artists in the crafts design culture industry. On the first-floor shop of the gallery, visitors may also purchase premium crafts created by some of the finest specialists and artists in the country. * The Korea Craft & Design Foundation is a public government organization operated by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism that was established for the promotion of crafts, public design, and traditional & lifestyle culture. The foundation focuses on establishing a cultural identify of Korea through the dissessimation and promotion of crafts, design, and tradtional & lifestyle cultures , in addition to contributing to an improved quality of life by strengthening the country's compeitive capactiy.
