WHY VISIT
Originally built on the site of Yonsei University by Queen Jinseong of the Shilla Dynasty in 889 A.D., Bongwonsa Temple was moved to its current site by King Yongjo of the Joseon Dynasty in 1748. The temple grounds holds a pond filled with lotus flowers. This attracts a lot of visitors, especially in the summer, as many gather to view the beautiful blooming flowers as they enjoy the festivities.
